First Day of School 2025

First Day Info

School starts for all students tomorrow, August 14th. Doors open at 6:45 and the first bell is at 7:05. Breakfast and lunch are free for all students again this year. Please be in dress code and wear your ID if you are a returning student. We will start the day in homeroom classes, students and parents were emailed their homeroom number this morning. Parents, if you did not receive an email with your students homeroom number, please check and update your contact information in Skyward. We can't wait to see our Texans back tomorrow.

HB 1481

As you may have heard, the state of Texas passed House Bill 1481 into law for the 2025-26 school year prohibiting the use of personal communication devices during the school day. Sam Rayburn will follow PISD guidance in enforcing this bill. This means all devices should be turned off and put away for the entire school day, from arrival to departure. Student ID's Required Everyday

Students are required to wear their school issued ID everyday. Returning students are asked to please wear their ID from last school year on the first day of school. New students will receive an ID. If returning students have lost their IDs they will be able to request a new one. The first ID will be free of charge.
