In spite of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo canceling events and concerts for 2021, the Rodeo has decided to continue supporting students through their School Art Program.
The Rodeo Art Contest recently had its second round of judging for all high school students in Pasadena ISD. We are proud to announce that 7 of the 13 art pieces chosen to advance to Grand Prix judging at NRG were from Sam Rayburn High School!
For the 9th consecutive year, a Rayburn student dominated the show by receiving Best of Show! In addition, 6 students received Special Merit awards.
Special Merit students are :

- Rosemary Rivera
- and Kassandra Cantu
Marco Sosa was selected as the 2021 Best of Show recipient (artwork pictured).
